History

A C Plastic Developments Limited has gained a reputation over the last 45 years for the manufacture and supply of high quality machined and butt-welded components in engineering thermoplastics for the chemical, water treatment and filtration industries.

Desmond Cross formed the company in 1973 and we continue to place great emphasis on service to the customer. ACPD has a successful blend of experience and diverse skills drawn together from a nucleus of people trained to solve problems – using a mixture of common sense and good engineering practice – at a reasonable price!

ACPD manufacture a range of high quality pressure fittings in a comprehensive range of sizes and materials – mainly PVC, ABS and Polypropylene. We are able to offer a next day delivery on most items and are happy to discuss special manufacture for non standard items; from a single component to a production run of thousands.

As well as new-machined parts, there has been a significant increase in the amount of repair and replacement work for production lines, resulting in reduced or negligible down time saving both time and money, our newly acquired large range of woodworking machines, band saws and planers have proved invaluable in this area.

Our move from the High Peak to Lincolnshire has equipped us with more space, better access and improved working conditions in a rural area with good transport links. Our current location was previously a railway station – Digby being one of the stopping points for the Great Northern and Great Eastern Joint Railway from 1882 until 1961.
